According to the creed, the Jews confess to only one God. They are God's chosen people called to bear witness to this doctrine.
Abraham is considered the first to stand out polytheistic religion and went to testify of faith in one God.
Jewry do not accept the doctrine of the Christian trinity.
CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD
God is one
God is the creator of everything.
God is disembodied.
God is neither man nor woman.
God is everywhere.
God is omnipotent
God is omniscient.
God is eternal.
God is just and merciful.
God is good and perfect.
The name of God must not be uttered aloud but is replaced by the words: Yahweh, Adonai, Elohim. In the Hebrew Bible, God is written YHWH. Man is worthless to pronounce this name.
God is never described. This may be because the Jews had to stay separate from the pictorial gods of the neighboring nations.
God requires people to keep His commandments as an expression of gratitude for his covenant through Moses
