The Pentecostal Church was born in the United States in the early 20th century, but has its roots in the 19th century consecration movements. Many supporters came from the Methodist and Baptist circles.
TEACHING FEATURES
The doctrine is based on the Bible, which is considered the supreme authority of faith. Like the Protestant churches, it is believed that man is saved by the grace of God.
The movement is characterized by following the example of the early church. The name also refers to the events of the first Pentecost, when the church received the Holy Spirit.
The movement is joined through adult baptism ( which requires conscious faith in Jesus), performed by immersion. There is also appreciation in the congregation for “spiritual baptism,” which is seen as receiving gifts of grace, such as speaking in tongues, and healing. "Spirit baptism" is expected to occur after water baptism.
The Lord's Supper is the sacrament. Communion requires rebirth experience and immersion baptism. The Lord's Supper is not an instrument of grace, it is a symbolic sacred ordinance that demonstrates allegiance to God.

In Finland, Niilo Ylivainio, a speaker who attracted a lot of attention and interest in the Pentecostals in the 1970s , was queued for hours at large mass events to come to heal him or to experience the Holy Spirit flowing through the touch of Ylivainio, which usually poured people on the floor.
