This book contains the most important Taoist doctrines and advice for learning the ideal lifestyle

According to Taoist legends, the Tao te Ching was born  at the request of the border guard, when he encountered a Laotian water buffalo on his way on his way west, perhaps towards present-day Tibet. The border guard understood that the master was about to leave the country permanently. Laotse agreed to write a book about his views on TAOSTA and how man can achieve it. After writing the book, he left for good and no one heard anything from him again.

The book consists of aphorisms and more than half is written in poetic form, which of course has made it easier to memorize and remember texts.  Today, it is estimated that the compilation of texts took quite a long time and  it has more suppliers. The work was completed around the 20th century BC.
